AFTER a delayed start, the 2020 British Talent Cup season will finally roar into action at Donington Park over the first weekend in August.
This year, the championship has had an overhaul and replaces the British Motostar series as the Moto3 class which supports the prestigious Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
Farrer has ridden in the series since its inception in 2018, becoming a regular frontrunner, race leader and podium finisher in 2019.
This year will be his last chance to compete in what is expected to be a fiercely competitive series because at the age of 18, he will be too old next year. However, he has already been tipped as one of the pre-season favourites and after signing a deal with the Victoria House Academy/Mortimer Racing team, he has his eyes firmly on challenging for the title.
The new-look championship will now run over 10 races across five weekends, taking in some of the UK’s leading race tracks including Donington Park, Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
